The land between the James and the Appomattox
Rivers thrives with historical events. Chesterfield County with four
hundred years of
history, was home to Pocahontas. From the 1917
Courthouse to the village of Midlothian, local historian Diane Dallmeyer
examines this captivating history with a series of short essays and
articles that first appeared in the Chesterfield Observer.
Diane
Dallmeyer reveals the stories of General Robert E. Lee's visit to Clover
Hill, the early years of Virginia horse racing, the mysteries of Wrexham
Hall, and others stories.
